Wiki - The Huntmasters Challenge
The Huntmasters Challenge Quest runs for the month of August. Unlike most seasonal quests, it is ongoing for the entire month and rewards are handed out at the end.
To participate in the challenge, travel to the Rangers Guild outside Skara Brae, in either Trammel or Felucca, and seek out the Huntmaster.
In the main room of the guild, there are 19 trophies that depict the creatures that are eligible to be hunted for the challenge. These are listed to the right.
To begin a hunt, single-click the huntmaster and select 'Get Hunting Permit'. This will withdraw 5000 gold from your bank for each permit obtained and you can hold only one at a time.
Seek out and kill your prey from the eligible creatures to the right. Double-click your permit and target the corpse. The permit will now show the weight and type of your prey. Return and drag-drop it onto the huntmaster to enter it into the contest. At this point another Hunting Permit may be purchased.
During the event, each trophy in the Rangers Guild will show the current leader for each creature. At the end of the event, one selected reward will be awarded to the player who has hunted the largest creature of each type.
To view the rewards, use any omni-porter and travel to Malas, Custom, Display Gates.

Optionally, players may purchase Taxidermy Kits from any Tanner in order to make trophies of their kills. Each kit costs 100,000 gold and may be used only once.
To use a Taxidermy Kit, a player must have 10 boards and a Hunting Permit that has been used to record an eligible prey in their pack. Double-click the Taxidermy Kit and target the permit to create a trophy. The 10 boards will be consumed but the permit will remain and can still be turned in to the Huntmaster.
